How a registration number is added up

Most numerologists in India add all the digits of the registration number and leave the letters out. For PB 08 AB 1234 that is 0 + 8 + 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 = 18, and 1 + 8 = 9. Some add only the last group of digits, the part you usually choose, and some also count the letters at their Chaldean values. The calculator shows all three and uses the first for the single digit.

Comparing it with the owner’s numbers

The single digit is ruled by a planet, from 1 for the Sun to 9 for Mars. If you add the owner’s date of birth, the calculator compares it with their mulank and bhagyank through the traditional friendships between the planets.

Traditional guidance, not a promise

Numerology can help you choose between numbers you like, but it says nothing about how safe a vehicle is or how it will be driven. If you are booking a number for a new vehicle, a numerology consultation can suggest totals to look for.

Questions

About vehicle numbers

Whose date of birth should I use?

Usually the owner’s: the person the vehicle is registered to. If someone else drives it most of the time, some numerologists use the main driver’s date of birth instead.

Do the letters count?

In the most common method, no: only the digits are added. The calculator also shows the total with the letters at their Chaldean values, for those who follow that method. For PB 08 AB 1234 the letters add 8 + 2 + 1 + 2 = 13.

Which single digit is best for a vehicle?

There is no single best number. Traditionally a number whose planet is friendly with the owner’s mulank and bhagyank is preferred. A numerology consultation looks at the owner’s full numbers before suggesting which totals to look for.
